Especially exciting was that Cahaley presented us with a beautiful finished copy of Issue One of Pelorus Press, the literary magazine she edits. Pelorus Press distinguishes itself from other literary magazines by including multiple drafts of a single poem along with comments by the author about his or her writing and revision process. The magazine aims to celebrate the art of revision and, as such, makes a wonderful teaching tool and offers a great message for students. Issue One features work by such celebrated poets as Donald Hall and Kristin Fogdall.
